>>Do you spend enough time with practicing physicians to be able to make that assessment?

Why would spending time with practicing physicians allow such assessment? On that basis you'd be best to ask the practice nurse. ;-)

In the meantime, the principle of herd immunity is well understood whether you're a physician or not.

>>By the way, I'm not picking on you personally. I'm having an exchange with another person in another forum about the differences between a practicing and non-practicing professional.

Depends what "practice" means. Epidemiologist physicians are still practicing even though they never dirty their hands on a patient. It seems that all "professionals" may not be the same.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
