Chen,

For every person who wants dbf >2gb, IMHO there would be many more who would pay $ for easier encryption of their dbfs. People paid hundreds of $ for Cryptor.

For the person who included 100mb large dbfs and fpts in the exe - I wonder whether they would still do that if the dbf and fpt were encrypted? ;-)

PHDBase is another candidate. http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~PhDbase . It provides very quick fuzzy text searches of memo fields via an ordinary cdx index and a fll. It no longer seems to be sold or updated, but it was written by Jim Korenthal who is another very nice person who probably would be gracious if you ask, though he vanished from the VFP world years ago. If he still is around, perhaps somebody here can help get in touch?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
