>One of the joys of my life was spending two days sitting next to Eric in Redmond when an alpha -- nope, not a beta, an alpha - was revealed to the outside world for the first time. Of course he knew the product code cold so spent most of his time playing Minesweeper. He was very good at Minesweeper.
My greatest Fox moment was at the Fox conference in Perrysburg back in 1989, when Dr Dave had FoxPro 1 on one computer and dBase 4 on another computer. It was hysterical. It wasn't even a fair fight. Fox was superior to dBase 4. And Dr Fave had every right to boast about Fox being better - Ashton Tate produced one of the biggest pieces of crap software of all time. Arrogance and bad qualities aren't a good combination. (As we also saw from H.C.'s press conference a few days ago!) :)
