>>Clerks and Clerks 2 are just insanely funny. I would get banned in a minute if I repeated the jokes. They are hugely offensive - but I have never laughed so hard at a movie in my life.
Might see if I can dig either of them out...
New Zealand comedy is slightly different again. "Bad Taste" was directed by Peter Jackson who went on to become a Hollywood mogul and more recently, "Boy" is an example of local comedy/Humor. A lot of non-NZers find Boy a bit close to the bone. Would be interested to hear what you think.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
