Thank you all for replying and providing input. Our lucky winner was Curtis, whose suggestion of re-arranging the parenthesis was successful.

As a point of thought, several of you responded in terms indicating that you thought the SQL statement was either too complex or hard to read in terms of formatting. I have two opinions here. As far as the fomatting, viewing the statement in a fixed width font in the VFP editor makes a world of difference, believe me. I, too, gasped when I saw what the UT messaging window did to the text I pasted into my message. Ugh.

In terms of complexity, I don't believe it's that high. I can't think of an easier way to get data from 7 different tables than a single SQL statement used in this fashion. Speaking in terms of efficiency, the database tables involved are each in the order of 10's of thousands of records, and it seems to execute nicely (not more than 10 seconds on average, this varies from machine to machine, for obvious reasons).

My $0.02 on that. Again, thank you all for your input.
