Hi Viv quite dark in London but heavily overcast. I remember the same with the near total eclipse a few years ago which I watched from Wiltshire. My brother went down to the south coast and caught a few seconds of totality through a break in the clouds.

On of my favourite astronomical sights which I have managed to see a few times are noctilucent clouds. Though as they are in the atmosphere I suppose strictly speaking they are weather.
