Not sure if you know that Peter and I worked on Norm's app along with Tom Rettig and Tom Rombouts.

Norm was unwilling to move the app into VFP and insisted on staying in DOS. Since you are talking TRO, I assume it is still there.

If I were you, I would strongly urge the family to update the app, Many will scoff but the size and scope of the app in that business is a perfect fit for VFP and I know that since TRO encouraged coding in "snippets", those snippets can be easily converted to methods. The data can easily be preserved, just change the unique record ID's from character to integer.
