We are re-developing an application in visual fox 6.0. The application must hold phrases (pieces of text) in a original language (english) which are translated to any other language and used for display and reports. Now we need to know what method we must use to store and display the phrases in any writing. We don't know if the 'double byte character set' feature of windows is an option since we lack any experience and can't find a way to switch that on or off.

Can someone give a suggestion or experiences?

In FoxproW 2.6 we used a combination of setting the code page, evaluating every phrase and changing the font of controls to realize this.
