I have a desktop application that needs to execute a SQL script. This application has always worked. However, when trying to send that particular command to SQL Server, I obtain this:

"Mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v2.0.50727' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information."

I am trying to find out where to look to resolve that issue.

The application exe and the framework dll are both set to Framework 4.0. I cannot find any reference in those two applications that would still refer to the old version.
