On one of the forms I found that blur was occurring without any manual intervention. So, I added this flag to make sure to run my code only if I did interact with the control. I think that particular form is instantiating needlessly but I just can not go to the root of the issue - the whole form is quite complex and messing with it causes something to not working properly. So, this flag is added just as a precaution and it should not have been there in a perfect word.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
