Since I've downloaded the .exe file and have the VB5 run time installed I think the app should work fine. The problem seems to be that the ADODB oRecordSet.Open method is not accepting sql statements ie.

oRecordset.Open tablename, oConnection works fine but
oRecordset.Open "SELECT * FROM tablename", oConnection gives an error !

What may be the problem ?
