>>I really disagree with this suggestion that a "neophyte" can just bypass wrappers like Molebox...

My experience is that you too could could peel your complete original VFP project out of Molebox in minutes if I were so provocative as to publish steps here. Not that they're hard to find if you put your mind to it.

As for who would be motivated to hack: is that not like asking who would be motivated to crash into you when deciding whether to wear a seat belt? We do not control who is out there or what they might do so if there are potential consequences, it's sensible to protect yourself. In this case Defox and VFP Compiler are readily available and protective, but I say that walling systems are not useful protection for VFP. Clearly you don't agree, but are you disagreeing because you've participated in efforts to hook VFP apps or know the failed efforts by others, or what is your basis? Please accept that this is specific for VFP and the characteristic that matters is VFP's ease of code injection that allows you to pop up inside even the most impressive battlements.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
