Don't know if it's applicable to your needs but it may be that your email provider already provides support for subscription lists (usually including the ability for users to add or remove themselves from the subscription list). If they do then it means you only need to send the email to the subscription email address for distribution and it will handle subsequent 'unsubscribe' requests from recipients automatically....
