For the second link, this is to have our certificate to be recognized at Microsoft level, as part of that program. This is how I understand it. Maybe there is something I am missing. IAC, when a site has an EV certificate, on the first hit to the site, the required data should be transferred so the browser would display it as green. This works for IE for a certain number of days, and then they vanish. As this works for other browsers, I really do not understand why I would have to register my certificate with that Microsoft program. Unless, this would be a requirement so users of IE would be able to see the green certificate on a permanent basis.
