Yes Bill, the administration does hate them with a passion. That is why William Wilkins (IRS Chief Counsel and an Obama appointee) ordered a full (and undocumented, at the time) review of all Tea Party tax exempt applications, just days after Wilkins spent six hours at the Roosevelt room at the White House. That is a fact.

It's true that Romney didn't understand the Tea Party. The bottom line is that Romney didn't have the thirst for the presidency and wound up coming off very naive. By the 2nd debate there was a substantial amount of information that Al Sharia was behind the Benghazi attack, and Romney had a chance to smash the administration for the void they left in Libya. But Romney was too focused on what words Obama chose in the Rose Garden the day after the attack. Romney never had a chance after that night. Candy Crowley certainly helped Obama, but the truth is that Romney lost his nerve.

Also....there's no comparison between any Brit perception of the Boston Tea Party and observations about the Occupy people. When I read about the pot-smoking nihilists during last week's Earth day (leaving all sort of trash all over the place), it reminds me of the Occupy people. I'd probably have a bit more respect for them if they'd stop it with the drugs, wouldn't litter and wouldn't use the outdoors as a bathroom, and if they took a bath once in awhile. :)
