It was in my wife's family before she was born .
I had it overhauled by a clockmaker about 20 years ago it's still running with amazing accuracy.
Unlike modern movements, the chimes are bells, not gongs.
It chimes every 15 minutes and that keeps me abreast of where I am with passing time.

I agree on expensive clothes. My favorite fashion motif is neo-Walmart.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
