I know everyone views these things differently - personally, I never really bought into watches as forms of jewelry.

I have the same neck chain that my wife bought me 12 years ago, plus my wedding band. I'm pretty much a dead man if I take either one off.

Then again, I have an expensive ($150) laptop bag that's water resistant and nearly water proof. I guess that's my form of jewelry :)
