>Maybe there's a bug in the environment manager in VFP8, if so it's probably fixed in VFP9 ( I haven't used VFP8 for ages). Try to select another value, or see where that value is actually stored, and fix it from there. Or live with it....! That's one of the disadvantages of sticking to an old version....
Thanks for the replies. We move to vfp9 for most things but a couple of programs that are stable including webb dll's are on 8 and rarely come in for change. There was some way to fix this, I have a vague recollection of it, but I just removed the set date parameter from the environment settings and it's okay now.
