IIS 7 is pretty lean when installed with default settings - a lot of stuff is missing, so if you install IIS it's always a good idea to go to the role/features and make sure everything you need is installed.

A good way to check what is installed is also the platform installer. Not only that but it will let you know which versions of things are installed.
