Ah yes... sort'a like those largish plastic Fresnel lens that they used to sell that you put in front of your smallish TV to turn it into a "big-screen" TV. Viewing angle is a tad limited however.

of course, the "no-cost" with no need to install any special equipment alternative --- place your face really close to the monitor (sort of like if you were *extremely* nearsighted), with your nose touching or nearly touching the screen.
