I had a slight doubt whether window.history.back|forward|go() would restore the latest page state or the latest URL and just checked: no, these methods only deal with URLs.

If you have some ajax calls involved in adding HTML fragments, server can restore the page in its latest state, otherwise I don't know of any simple solution to persist added HTML fragments on client-side only.

>Does this mean we have to confirm that we cannot support forward-back sequence in the browser DHTML added storage to the client? I always heard a lot that many are recommending users to not do that but some will always do. In that case, I was on the form for about 5 minutes, I click on + to add many items. Then, I wanted to click on a temporary link and go back to that page to finish it. Then, the DHTML added HTML was gone.
