>>Yes, it's possible. See Sergey's blog for one sample, plus links to further information. https://www.berezniker.com/content/pages/visual-foxpro/deleting-pages-pdf-file-through-acrobat-automation

>Thank you, I wanted to be able to convert PDF files to excel. Perhaps, it would be better to extract PDF files to individual PDF pages, and then attempt to convert each page to excel? I have tried some of the stand-along PDF-to-excel converstors. My experience is that they maker various mistakes when dealing with a multi-page PDF but do better when dealing with one-page PDF files. What I am really after are the tables in each PDF.

LibreOffice Impress does a relatively decent job of converting a pdf to its format. The resulting file is a set of zipped xml files (with some extension .od? but actually a zip, just like any of the ODF or newer Office files). The content.xml inside contains the info you need, but you may not like it - it has too much information in many small pieces. In case of just text, every row is a separate entry... so you may have to recalculate your cell positions from coordinates.

And, of course, this is not easily automatable. If anyone knows how to automate LibreOffice (what I've found and tried out years ago with OpenOffice was... microsurgery with welder's gloves), I'd like to know.
