Will it cause other problems to set the background of the containers to 'opaque'?

>I have two containers on a page within a pageframe. One container is visible and the other container is not (one shows the details of a work order and the other shows a list of all work orders). I wish to start out on one container and use command buttons to toggle between the two; making the inactive container not visible. This all works fine but occasionally some controls from the invisible container will show through the background of the visible container. This gives the users a very confused expression.
