Hmm.. I see it as tools vs toys.
The device they give the tech has access to schematics of every device GE services, along with suggested repairs for given symptoms.
The tech gets periodic texts regarding upcoming stops.
The tech can use the phone if need be.
If necessary, the device will handle all credit cards and other billing methods.
A blue tooth printer on the tech's belt prints receipts.
When the tech signals that a stop is completed, the next stop is called automatically, saying that the tech is on the way and the map pops up showing the tech the route.
When I asked him about his gadget, the tech who fixed my dishwasher said that he couldn't function without it.
What other business do you think that this tech would be doing?
