I'd recommend the Chilkat control for this. They're easy to use and work well. I would advise against using Curl and shelling out to do transfers. Really difficult to deal with failures that way.
Somebody asked about West Wind tools: We have only FTP support, not SFTP since our library relies on Windows FTP stack which doesn't support SFTP interfaces unfortunately.
