Hi Gang! Me again.....

This is a continuation of something I asked over a month ago ( or was it like 2 ??? ..... I degress...)....

This has to do with the forms loosing focus when they are minimized to the task bar, then made normal again later.

This used to run ok on Windows XP SP3, but on Windows 7 SP1 we have this random problem...

This is what is going on now.......

Two applications running... one called POS and the other EZSIGN ( for pad signatures ).
POS is running and then calls EZSIGN ( which was already running, but MINIMIZED).

EZSIGN pops up NORMAL, ( in front of POS ) and allows us to sign the signature pad and answer questions for the Rx prescription.

Then when done, it MINIMIZES back to the Taskbar and POS regains focus and allows us to continue to pay different tenders ( more Credit Cards ).

Everytime we pay with a Credit Card, it brings up the EZSIGN to the front in front of POS, and allows us to sign for the card and answer more questions on the pad. When done, it MINIMIZES and focus goes back to the POS.

UNTIL we do the final CC and the EZSIGN now pops up NORMAL to allow us to provide info about us since the test drug is a PSE ( control ) drug.

Now, this is a 3rd form, but it is part of the EZSIGN application, and it pops up in Front of the POS and the EZSIGN form. The first field of this 3rd form ( called the frmControlID form ) is Highlighed (selected) with the blinking cursor maker in it.

BUT... BUT..... the focus is on the POS !!!!

We can start typing, but nothing types in the frmControlID. The POS is eating the typed characters.

And we know this because the Taskbar has the POS and EZSIGN icons in it...... The POS has 1 icon, the EZSIGN has 2 icons ( one over the other but off to the side so you can tell there are 2 icons ). And the POS icon is highlighted, as if it has the focus !!!

So my question to you....... WHY ? And if you have seen this behavior before, how did you overcome it and make the focus stay with the Highlighted field of a form ???... instead of it jumping to another application ( POS in this case ).

Thanks a bunch. Sorry to bother you all about this again, but they are getting antsy about this, and we thought we had this licked, but this problem reared its ugly head again in beta testing and it appears to be a random thing and difficult to fix.
