I am using a form class which has a grid (VFP base class grid). So, there is no way to directly add that grid's tooltiptext_Access method. I've tried using bindevent and the code you provided, but with 0 result - e.g. the tooltip was not shown. I then moved the code into MouseMove event and was able to show the tooltip, but then it was not from the right row.

The other question I have - how to specify TootlTipText programmatically so it will evaluate it? If I set it to be =csrBenefits.reason in the property sheet, it does show the actual reason text but only for the first row.

I can not figure out how to specify it in code. If I set it to be 'csrBenefits.reason' or "=evaluate('csrBenefits.reason')" it shows text as that.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
