I do not know what to say, when you bring up arguments that you rather want to be killed by a gun than a knife... Did it ever occur that it is a lot harder to kill a a crowd in a cinema with a knife than with a semi automatic gun ?? How often would an innocent person get killed by a knife that was accidentally thown at them?

Walter, I understand your point, and yes, someone using a gun has huge logistic advantages over someone using a knife or other deadly sharp instrument.

However, it's worth noting that mass stabbings are not uncommon in certain areas of the world, especially where gun access is limited. In particular it's been a big problem in China, and also reportedly in North Korea, other locations in the Far East, and certain areas of Central and South America. So it does happen.

I am sickened by what has happened in South Carolina this week. Nine completely innocent, defenseless people shot in cold blood by a monster.
