I keep the sound off most of the time, so it really doesn't matter much.
I enjoy the Peter Kostis swing analysis segments on CBS so I keep the sound up for them.
Unlike football or baseball which are noisy sports, golf tends to be a silent game so it makes more sense to me with the sound off.

My favorite commentator happens to be Nick Faldo, The one thing that I think is pretty cool about Fox Sports is that they have no commercials is the last 45 minutes of the game, All of the other networks tend to triple the commercials in the final hour.
