>>IBM is a TLA for Immer Besser Manuell Always better manually
IMHO IBM in particular but tech in general created huge business advantage for a long time, but many tech insiders have forgotten the requirement to make the boat go faster, instead acting as if the churn and activity is a useful achievement in itself- sort of like scientists unraveling the secrets of DNA, except that tech dudes actually created a really complicated form of DNA on purpose and now are running experiments on it disguised as useful work. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
