The American electorate can be pretty dumb at times- it elected Bush for a second term (not for a first - Scalia et al did that) - but it won't elect Trump.
Trump is doing what Steve Forbes did.. he'll spend +-$20 million on his campaign and get over $50 million worth of PR for the Trump name.
He's a shrewd businessman and a masterful publicist.
I ran into him briefly while playing a round of golf at Doral in Miami, Fl shortly after he had bought the complex.
While touring the course he graciously stopped his motorcade of golf carts while my partners and I completed our tee shots and we exchanged some golf pleasantries before he went on with his entourage.
Politically, he's harmless.
