>A perfect example is the absolutely disgraceful and dangerous agreement he just penned with Iran. Some friends of mine and I are writing letters to Washington to urge Congress to get the necessary 2/3rds majority to override this for good. And I am trying very hard to avoid this country vs country bashing that Walter and Nicholas are engaging in, but the fact remains that European countries are desperate to make a deal to lift sanctions against Iran because their economies are in worse shape and they need trade with Iran. The United States does not need to make this deal - but did anyway because (and here the perception is correct) he is trying to turn the U.S. into a European model. You'll have great difficulty convincing me otherwise.

We certainly agree on that!

You won't be surprised to hear that I think that the Iran agreement is brilliant.
I think that it's no coincidence that the split between those supporting the Iran agreement and its opponents almost parallels the split between those who opposed the Iraq invasion and those who supported it.
Unfortunately, the wrong side won that argument.
I'm hopeful that the right side will win this one.

Peacemakers are seldom venerated.

When we think of WWII heroes we think of Patton, Montgomery, Nimitz, McArthur, Ike, etc.
They were heroes, for sure.
Seldom do we see George Marshall's name included in that list - but the Marshall plan was probably the most brilliant achievement of that era.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
Malcolm Forbes, Sr.
