Speaking for german numbers: Estimates here are that in best case trade with Iran could grow by 300%, but that is still only a tiny slice of total trade. Nothing to get "desperate" about. I think IS growing in the vacuum that ensued after the occupation forces brought upon by WMD disinformation left is the motivation behind US dealing.
