I know this is a very old issue, but with the new capabilities of the latest couple of VFP versions, I thought it would be good to get some fresh opinions.

I'm not sure whether my picklist should be accessed from a yab on the main application window, or from a seperate form, but either way: it seems best for consistancy to use a multi-column grid, allowing users to click on the column header to sort data, and perhaps type the search term into text boxed above the columns to jump to the fist match as they type.

I'm not sure whether to use a different view for each sort (swapping grid source when they click on a header), or perhaps create seperate indexes for a single view, or perhaps just a grid pointing to my tables, with seperate indexes.

Perhaps there is another, better option?

TIA
