Why do you need two instances of SSMS? The 2014 version can connect to 2012 servers.

Because SSMS is built on the Visual Studio shell, you could count that as three VS.

How do you manage 40 tabs? Sounds as easy to use as populating a list box with thousands of rows.

>2 instances of SSMS (two different servers SQL Server 2014 and 2012), one instance of VS, one Outlook and lots of tabs (about 40+) in Google Chrome browser (I know you don't like it, but I use it).
