Well, when I research something I often open a new tab and then it becomes another one in the list of tabs I have opened. Also, when I start the browser, I open it with last opened tabs (and all last opened instances). So, even if I am not reading a particular tab at the moment, I have it opened just in case.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
