FWIW, since I said elsewhere that I credit FoxForum for starting my writing career, it wasn't purely selfless. I learned from answering questions, and I knew that was the case. That said, I was also raised with a strong dose of "pay it forward"; I'd learned a tremendous amount reading the questions and answers there, and thus felt obliged to answer when I could.

In addition, as someone working at home alone, FoxForum served as my water-cooler.
