>Oh yay, Sage is using another technology that is now considered old.

I think that this is a pretty good strategy for this product, which is popular in the small to medium business world. Sage has retained the basic functionality and appearance- which is familiar to tens of thousands of users, but has made the product available either in the browser or the desktop.
I work in that world, and getting browser access to desktop application data is a huge benefit that was previously so costly that only very large companies could afford it.
While Sage was at it, they brought the C code forward to C#.
Of course when they started this project- which took several years- they knew that newer technology would be available when they finished- but they did it anyway.
This was a big bet, and I think that it was a good one.
So - "old" is somehow not good?
Hmm I'm probably close to twice your age, Craig, but I'd be happy to accommodate you if you'd like to challenge me to a round of golf.
