Several years ago Bonnie Berent did not get renewed. (That's not a secret, the information was posted here on the UT). On my own, I sent some emails in disagreement and gave my opinion on why, citing specifics. I think the world of Bonnie, not just in recognition of the wealth of content she has produced on this and other forums (and was producing at the time she wasn't renewed), but also because of the quality of her character and her integrity.
I also contacted a few other people and asked them to look at the situation. At some point later she was renewed....it might have been the following quarter, I don't recall. Now, whether my input or the input of others had anything to do with it, I have no idea. Maybe it had zero bearing. But I did what I thought was the right thing.
That is the best answer I can give you. I'm also supremely confident that Bonnie would also not resort to asking this type of question.
