I've noticed before that after I switch between wireless and an ethernet connection that I have to go to command prompt and do an IPCONFIG/RENEW ... if you just do the ipconfig you can see if you're getting a new IP address. Maybe IPV6 is not enabled and needs to be?? I use one of these http://www.hootoo.com/hootoor-ht-ue01-3-port-usb-3-0-hub-with-10-100-1000-gigabit-ethernet-converter.html because my machine didn't come with an ethernet port - I assumed it was that thing that caused me the problem but maybe not. I also had to turn on IPV6.
