>Actually, in a strange way, Lenovo might be your safest choice now. First I think these issues are the case of misguided marketing and tech departments trying to be too clever. This is especially probable when one considers that both issues only affect a small number of their models and even then not all the devices in a model class - for example I have a Yoga 2 Pro (amongst other laptop makes and models) and have neither issue as far as one can observe. But, now that it's in the open, they will be taught a lesson on what not to do (just like Sony with their stupid DRM software). They will likely not make this mistake again and do whatever they can to be clean going forward. This cannot be said of marketing and tech departments at other vendors who might think they can be cleverer than Lenovo ...

ACK perhaps in a year from now (when even the dumbest nose was rubbed into it over there) but as there were 2 different holes found within a year chances are skewed that there CURRENTLY might exist another backdoor not brought into the limelight.

I loved them for the clit mouse and had a LEnovo laptop early after they bought the caboodle from IBM (and an android tablet), but since then was happy with Fuji - 3 machines still alive, 1 killed by a fall landing on marble - entirely my fault.
