It is stated that this task will only do anything if you set that gathering feature on. Don't ask me for it's name, this is a german comp. And the feature is off anyway.
CP/M was fine in the days we had two floppy drives only and the whole OS + Turbo Pascal + Wordstar fits to one floppy and had spare too. I would not like to work with 5? users on a nTB drive ....
