>>I watched the entire exchange between Sanders and Greenspan. Perhaps you don't understand it? Sanders was talking about the strife of the middle income and lower middle income Americans. What no one wants to talk about is that after 6+ years of the current administration, the situation of lower middle income Americans has gotten worse....at a time when federal revenue collection is at an all time high.

I don't see where the participants in the vid or Bill thought it actually was a commentary about excessive/misallocated taxes more than a decade later.

But since you insist: how should Obama have allocated the tax take to (for example) bring back manufacturing jobs shipped offshore by Mitt twelve years ago, or do you still agree with Greenspan's original model that called it efficient to transfer the jobs to China, India and the Philippines as was raised in the vid? Either way, isn't it a bit Socialistic to imply that nanny state should spend today's taxpayer dollars to kiss it better rather than cutting taxes and allowing the market to continue to do its wonderful job?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
