Remember hectograph (known here as šapirograf, schapirograph)? It worked but never looked right. The period would be too bold while m would always be too thin, because you used a typewriter to drill holes in the template paper. Well, pass it through a dot matrix printer without a ribbon, and it prints perfectly, even graphics.
I did that a few times in the early nineties and it worked excellent every time. It was the time window when this was possible - the last of these were still in use, and the dot matrix printers were at their peak.
