How much time have you spent to this point trying to fix this issue? Think about searching for and trying solutions, posting here for help, reading responses. Now, multiple that by your hourly pay rate. Are other people waiting for this to be fixed? How much time have they lost? How about your customers? Are they affected? Add in the cost of ReFox, assuming you have to buy it. This one issue has become very expensive. It's something that a free, easy to setup solution, would have solved in a few minutes time with version control.
