And it mystifies me that politicians reach for the "we need more gun laws!", and forget that laws were already on the books.

Dylann Roof got his hands on a gun ....not because of any lack of laws, but because the laws weren't being enforced. Not a case of a loophole - but because the laws weren't being enforced. Mistakes were made in the enforcement. Period.


The best laws in the world are meaningless if the government doesn't enforce them. (Barack Obama and our current immigration mess is a great example of that. )
