Some people get upset when you interfere with their law-breaking.
They get even more upset when you interfere repeatedly.

I've known cops who lied and cheated.
I've known cops who were bullies.
However, most all of the cops I have met are doing their best at a very tough job.

Why are so many people anti-cop?

The obvious thugs, thieves, and violent criminals (of whom there are many) are one element.
Another element is less obvious.
Welfare recipients like some in my extended family just don't have to bother with work.
"Idle hands are the devil's playground" - sounds so antique, but it is so true.
If you don't have to bother with working, you have so much more time to have illegitimate children with multiple partners, do drugs, do some minor drug dealing on the side to support your own habit, and even a little petty theft.

Available welfare benefits creates an idle class that in turn encourages drug use, but the "War on Drugs" tasks the cops with fighting this same idle class.
We have created and paid for a sizable population that can't help but be anti-cop.
