Money talks. If you're a COBOL developer you earn at least 3.000-4.000-USD net/monthly at Turkey. This's a good salary for Turkey... :)
Also you have to see ABAP too if you want to see a terrible language. ABAP developers are soo happy... $-)
I remember I had a job interview about 20-25 years ago. They asked me COBOL's sections. I just remembered three of four in spite of I took COBOL lessons at university (I never like COBOL)... :))
