Elway lifetime was 18-12 vs Chiefs. From 93 through 97, I remember they would usually split the regular season. Though KC did get road wins at Mile High vs Elway in both '94 and '95. '94 was the famous Monday night Montana magic game. As for the '95 win (as part of the sweep in 95), Charlie Schreiner might get a kick out of this story (if he's reading).

It was in late October 1995 and we were in Phoenix for the DevCon that year. I stayed in my hotel room during the day on Sunday and told some co-workers that I had a bad headache and didn't want to go on a hike during the day (before the conference started that night), when in reality I stayed in my room and watched the Chiefs beat Denver 21-7 in Denver. It was snowing in Denver and about 100 degrees in Phoenix. So Charlie, 20 years after the fact, I lied to J.U. that day. :)

Peyton is nearly perfect vs KC....something like 11-1 lifetime vs Chiefs, with the only blemish in 2004 when KC won a shootout at Arrowhead vs the Colts and got a small measure of revenge for the playoff loss 10 months prior. (Though nothing will ever make up for the playoff loss in early 2014 vs the Colts). KC has had 3 heartbreaking losses vs Colts in the post-season. One because of Lin Elliot, one because their defense blew chunks...and I don't want to talk about blowing the 28 pt lead 2 years ago.

Jeez, I'm really a football junkie. :)
