I'm not sure this is helpful or not! Years ago I moved to Postgres 8.x maybe it was 7.x using Foxpro 6. While doing that I discovered several issues with the ODBC driver provided by the Postgres people. I ended up purchasing a product from a third party (I thought it was easysoft but can't find it in their listed products) and that worked very well - at least for my stuff. The problems I had did depend on how I wrote the SQL - so I'm saying I found work arounds. I just didn't want to have to find work arounds when I had a working driver. If I were you check out the third party stuff.
